Sony is finally partaking in the buzz surrounding its long-rumored Honami smartphone. On Monday, the company released a teaser image of the upcoming device on its Google+ page. Besides providing an up-close and personal look at the phone, the image helps to confirm the presence of a G-branded camera lens and an LED flash.
In conjunction with Sony’s teaser, website Digi-Wo released a number of unofficial images that show the Honami in a white case at a Sony event (found in the source link). Besides sporting a new color, the images don’t share any new details about the device, but with the growing number of image leaks, it is becoming clear that Sony will release its next Android flagship very soon.
While Sony has yet to mention any plans with regards to the launch of the Honami, it’s possible that the handset could make an appearance at IFA next week. The handset is expected to sport a design similar to that of the Xperia Z and is rumored to feature a 20-megapixel camera, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, and 2GB of RAM.
