On Tuesday, Sony announced that it would begin issuing upgrades to Android 4.2.2 for the Xperia Z. Most users currently receiving the update are carrying unbranded HSPA+ and LTE models. At this point, though, reports suggest that some carrier-specific variants are also getting a refresh.
The majority of the improvements are minor. The most notable changes include support for lock-screen widgets and slight modifications to the look and feel of the interface.
