from Ananova Sony unveils new handheld at Live 2001 Sony has unveiled a new handheld computer at the Live 2001 consumer electronic fair in Birmingham. Its new Clie PEG-N770C promises enhanced video capabilities on a colour screen and an built-in MP3 player. The PDA is compatible with Sony’s memory sticks, allowing the easy transfer of digital photos and music recordings. Meanwhile Microsoft gave its new operating system – Windows XP – its first UK airing at the NEC show, ahead of its official launch next month. Palm also showed off the latest addition to its range of personal digital assistants – the m125, an entry-level device with an expansion slot for optional education and business applications.
