Sprint Launches Budget-Friendly Android Smartphone: The ZTE Fury

Sprint subscribers looking to purchase a value-priced Android smartphone can pick up the ZTE Fury. This inexpensive family-oriented model just launched today.

ZTE FuryThis device is selling for an affordable price of $20 after a $50 mail-in rebate and a new two-year service agreement.

Those who purchase the phone will receive an Android OS 2.3 handset with a 3.5-inch capacitive display. It also runs on a 1GHz Qualcomm processor, with 4GB of storage, and 512MB of RAM. The ZTE Fury features a 5MP rear-facing camera with LED flash, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, a microSD card slot and a variety of family-friendly apps.

It is compatible with Sprint’s family services that help parents protect their kids. The apps include Sprint Family Locater, Sprint Mobile Controls, and Sprint Drive First, an app that automatically locks the phone when traveling more than 10 MPH and unlocks once the car has stopped driving.

With the proper wireless service contract, the handset can also act as a 3G hotspot that allows up to five Wi-Fi enabled devices to share one network connection.
