Sprint consumers looking to pick up an HTC One will find that the carrier is providing some unique flare to HTC’s flagship handset. Today the company announced its plans to launch a carrier-exclusive “glamor red” HTC One variant on Sprint starting tomorow for $200 (with a two-year deal or eligible upgrade).
The exclusive handset arrives as part of promotion between Sprint and NextRadio. The NextRadio interactive FM radio application is designed to allow users to stream FM radio signals while consuming significantly less power than most music apps. The app is able to achieve this by relaying the audio signal through a FM tuner as opposed to over the internet.
The NextRadio application will now be preloaded at no additional cost on all new HTC One handsets from Sprint. Sprint customers who have previously purchased an HTC One or HTC EVO 4G LTE will also be able to download the app for free from the Google Play store.
In line with its current promotion, Sprint will also be offering consumers a buy-one-get-one free deal on the HTC One running from Aug. 16 through Aug. 30, or while supplies last. During that time consumers who purchase an HTC One device will receive an additional HTC One handset for free.
