Sprint’s Kyocera Milano Targets First-Time Smartphone Buyers

The Kyocera Milano, an entry-level Android smartphone with a sliding keyboard, is now available from Sprint. It was created to appeal to those looking to upgrade from a featurephone.

Kyocera MilanoPowered by Android 2.3, the Milano sports a 3.0-inch touchscreen and features a sliding QWERTY keyboard and a 3.2MP camera. The handset comes equipped with a 2GB microSD card and support for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS. 

Preloaded with software such as Sprint Navigation, Sprint TV & Movies and NASCAR, the Milano supports the customizable software bundles in Sprint ID. Other features include a proprietary power management system, known as Eco Mode, and a Swype custom keyboard. 

As an entry-level device , the Milano is intended to be appealing to new smartphone buyers due to its ability to run the latest apps and games, and its low price. The Kyocera Milano retails for $50 with a two-year service agreement and $50 mail-in rebate via reward card.
