Chapura has released PocketMirror Professional 1.0 for Windows Mobile.

This adds to the basic Outlook PIM synchronization features of ActiveSync and improves the categorization capabilities of Pocket Outlook.

PocketMirror Professional offers users the ability to synchronize with multiple folders from Outlook Contacts, Calendar, and Tasks, and organize and store this information in Pocket Outlook on the handheld, organized not only in ActiveSync-supported categories, but also in new folder-like categories, making it clear which Outlook folder the data came from on the PC.

Users pick and choose which Outlook Contacts, Calendar, and Tasks folders to synchronize with their handheld, including any public and sub-folders on a Microsoft Exchange Server.

Folder-like categories can also be created in Pocket Outlook that PocketMirror Professional will use to create corresponding folders in Microsoft Outlook on the desktop.

This application also provides two-way synchronization support for the Business Contacts folder in Outlook with the Microsoft Business Contact Manager, a contact manager and sales contact solution that is relied on by many small to mid-size businesses.

It supports all Pocket PCs running Windows Mobile 2003.

Pricing and Availability

PocketMirror Professional for Windows Mobile is available for $49.95 from the Chapura web site, and from leading online resellers.

This is the first synchronization software Chapura has produced for Windows Mobile users, though the company’s Palm OS synchronization product, PocketMirror Standard, has been shipped with over 20 million handhelds
