T-Mobile has annoucned the Danger Sidekick II, along with a party to kick off the device. Both are clearly geared toward the younger crowd, as most professionals won’t be very interested in the Sidekick II features or marketing plan.
T-Mobile plans to launch the device this fall, but no pricing information is available. We were able to demo a pre-production unit at the CTIA show in March. The Sidekick II is much improved over prior models, but the hardware and software package are generally uninspiring.
Danger Hiptop II Revealed (6/23/2004 12:51:07 PM) – Once again this summer, the FCC is the bearer of good news as Danger fans have a chance now to get in on some good news. According to an FCC document; Danger is readying to release a refreshed version of its Sidekick device. The Sidekick (sold through T-Mobile) is already a big hit with the youth market because of its ability to easily browse the Internet and send/receive text messages. This new version (called the Sidekick II) is supposed to accent the older features with a thinner size and more memory.
