The official launch date for the T-Mobile G2 isn’t until October 6, but many of those who pre-ordered this high-end Android OS smartphone have already received it.
Packages containing the G2 began arriving yesterday, and more are scheduled for today.
T-Mobile is still only allowing its current customers to order this device. Those who aren’t already T-Mobile subscribers won’t be able to order this smartphone until October 6.
However, Wirefly is letting those who are willing to switch to T-Mobile put in a pre-order, and is charging $150 with a two-year contract.
T-Mobile G2 Overview

It runs Android OS 2.2 on an 800 MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
This smartphone has 4 GB of internal storage, plus it is bundled with an 8 GB microSD memory card.
Because this device runs the latest version of Google’s operating system, it has a very capable web browser with support for Adobe Flash. It also includes email software, music and video player, and support for Exchange ActiveSync.
The G2 supports T-Mobile HSPA+ service, which means it is able to wirelessly transfer data fast enough to rival or surpass current 4G networks.
It has a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and auto-focus. In addition to still images, this camera supports 720p video recording.
Other features include Stereo Bluetooth, a GPS receiver, and a 3.5 mm headset jack.
