T-Mobile subscribers who want a low up-front payment for the Google Nexus 4 can find this high-end smartphone for $50 below its usual with-contract price. The online phone retailer Wirefly has a version of this model with 16GB for $150. It can be purchased from Staples for the same price. This special has been going on for some time.

Google Nexus 4 from LGGetting the device at this price requires signing up for a two-year T-Mobile service contract, but the deal is good for new T-Mobile customers or those who wish to upgrade.

Another Option

The Nexus 4 can also be purchased from the Google Play store where it starts at $300 for the 8GB version. A 16GB one is $350. While these are higher than the with-contract prices, these are sold without a contract and unlocked, and therefore can be used with AT&T, T-Mobile, and other GSM carriers.

Google says orders placed today will ship in 1 -2 weeks. Delays have been a problem with this version since it launched.
