Although Verizon has yet to announce the HTC Droid Incredible 2, this carrier’s plan to release this high-end Android OS smartphone in the near future is an open secret. As evidence, what are likely to be the official press shots have now leaked out.
The details of this model aren’t much of a mystery — a few months ago, HTC took the wraps off the HTC Incredible S, the successor to a device Verizon launched last year as the Droid Incredible. Since then, many people have been waiting for Verizon to make it official that it’s going to offer this device.
A series of images showing a slightly modified version of the Incredible S bearing the Verizon logo have now appeared on the web. These also have the “electronic eye” logo that this carrier uses with its Droid series.
According to an unconfirmed report, Verizon intends to launch the HTC Droid Incredible 2 later this month, possibly on April 28.
