Toshiba Offers “Trade-in Program”

Interested in trading up for a new Toshiba PDA?  Toshiba is offering an “exciting”  new trade-in program (please read on for a full explanation of the excitement  I am feeling).  By simply registering on the Toshiba website and following the steps provided for you, YOU, YES YOU can trade up your older PDA (i.e. your Toshiba e740) towards a shiny new e750.  After all, since Toshiba is offering no upgrade to the Windows Mobile 2003 OS for this fairly recent model, it can just be traded in towards the e750!  In Toshiba’s words:  “…apply the value of that product towards the purchase of your new Toshiba product – making your new purchase even more affordable!”

Oh I am beside myself with joy!  I went ahead and checked to see how much they are willing to give you towards an e740 in “excellent” condition.  Ready for this?  $64.00!  How exciting!  Then you are only stuck paying $435.00 for a new model running the Windows Mobile OS since you got shafted on the upgrade for your e740, and now Toshiba wants to bite you once more on a lousy $64.00 discount for your perfectly useable e740.

OK.  Do I sound like I am taking a sarcastic tone with this one?  GOOD because I am.  This whole idea in my humble opinion is another chance for Toshiba to potentially high stick loyal customers.  After all, I am willing to bet that this program could easily be a bad solution to solve Toshiba’s problem of denying support for the new OS.

Still feeling energized?  Feeling adventurous?  Looking to deduct $64.00 or less on the price of a new PDA?  The link for this program is

Good luck and HAPPY TRADING
