The Palm Treo 680 debuted late last year in the United States, and since then this Palm OS smartphone has gone on the market in numerous countries around the world.

Possibly the most significant of these is China. It is now being offered in cooperation with CEC Telecom Science and Technology Co., Ltd. and one of Palm’s distribution partners, Beijing Riverwill Communication Technology Co. Ltd..
The Treo 680 has also recently debuted on some new South American carriers: Argentina’s CTI Movil and Peru’s Claro, who also began offering this device in El Salvador and Guatemala last month.
Other countries where the Treo 680 is available include France, Mexico, the Philippines, Singapore, and Switzerland.
More About the Treo 680
This smartphone greatly resembles previous Treos, but does not need the unpopular external antenna that those models had to have. It is also thinner that its predecessors.
The 680 runs Palm OS Garnet, and includes 64 MB of user-available storage.
It is a GSM quad-band smartphone with support for GPRS and EDGE. It also includes Bluetooth.
Naturally, this Treo includes a suite of PIM applications — Address Book, Calendar, To-Do list. It is also bundled with a suite of applications that will allow users to view and edit Microsoft Office documents.
An SD slot for additional storage and a 0.3 megapixel camera are also part of this model.
