Palm’s latest smartphone, the Treo 750v, is now available from Vodafone in several European countries.
As promised, this device is free when the customer signs up for an appropriate monthly service contract.
Without the contract, the 750v costs 212.77 Pounds in the United Kingdom, or 299.89 Euros in Germany.
More About the Palm Treo 750v
This model is the first Windows Mobile Treo available outside of the United States, and it offer support for Vodafone’s 3G cellular-wireless network.
The 750v greatly resembles previous smartphones from Palm, but, unlike its predecessors, not need an external antenna. It has a tablet design, with a 240-by-240-pixel touchscreen above an alphanumeric keyboard.
It runs Window Mobile 5.2 for Pocket PC on a 300 MHz processor from Samsung. This device haves 64 MB of RAM and 128 MB of ROM, about 60 MB of which is available to uses as non-volatile internal storage. A miniSD card slot provides additional storage.

This quad-band GSM phone also supports GPRS, EDGE, and UMTS. Palm hasn’t yet made an official announcement of this, but the word on the street is that a software upgrade will add HSDPA support.
In addition, it includes Bluetooth 1.2, and give users the ability to use wireless stereo headsets.
This Treo will have a 1.3 megapixel camera with 2x digital zoom. It is able to take both still images and video.
