Palm has posted on its support site an update for the just-released Tungsten E.
It contains a set of improvements for the SDIO driver on this handheld. The update adds support for current and future SDIO products, and allows the Tungsten T to use MMC Memory Cards larger than 64 MB.
This update is ONLY for Tungsten E handhelds. If installed on a non-Tungsten E handheld, the device will fail to respond to expansion cards.
It can be found on Palm’s support site.
What About the Tungsten T3?
A similar update may be in the works for the Tungsten T3. According to Bits & Bolts, a developer of Palm OS applications, there is a problem with the Slot Driver of the Tungsten T3 that can cause problems with SD cards made by SanDisk. The company has sent a full description of the issue to Palm.
