We have obtained the internal PDF that ViewSonic has produced to showcase the V35 and its specs. Don’t worry, they gave us this one, so no angry attorneys…this time!

Also, here’s the official press release, if you’re interested.

ViewSonic V35 Pocket PC Specs

ViewSonic, we known for their display technology, will be the 29th licensee of Microsoft’s PPC handheld operating system. On November 1st, they will debut the V35 Pocket PC for $299.

ViewSonic will beat Dell to the punch by offering such a high-powered pocket PC device for under $300. It is ViewSonic’s display technology that allows them to keep the price down according to ViewSonic general manager Tom Offutt.

“One of our major advantages is that this is a display-based product, and we’re a leading display company,” Offutt said.

The 4.9-ounce device will come with a 300MHz Intel XScale PXA250 processor, 32MB of memory, a 3.5-inch transflective color screen and a Secure Digital expansion slot. The V35 will also come with Microsoft PowerPoint file viewer and digital imager viewer applications.

ViewSonic hopes to further grown its share of the PPC market by offering many peripherals that are as competitively priced as their PDA.

I welcome this new player to the table. Compaq/HP has been the only material PPC makers for some time. Toshiba has shaken things up a bit with their oh so slim e310 and the integrated WiFi 740. We can only hope the V35 breaks down more barriers. It seems they’ve got a firm handle on the price issue.
