As more and more users ditch their old features phones in favor of more powerful options, smartphone users are becoming the mobile majority. Verizon seems well aware of this trend introducing the Pantech Marauder, which is now available exclusively on Verzion Wirless’ 4G LTE Network. Equipped with both a dual-interface option and a QWERTY keyboard, the Pantech Marauder has been designed for users looking to make a smooth transition from feature phone to smartphone.

Pantech MarauderBrought to the market by Personal Communications Devices, LLC (PCD), the Marauder offers customers the option between Starter Mode and Standard Mode. Starter Mode is a simplified and more intuitive experience that is designed specifically with first time smartphone users in mind, by replacing the normal layout with four easy to learn home screens that feature preset widgets and an unclutter easy to use unlock screen. When switching between modes all of the settings are maintained, meaning users don’t have to worry about losing information.

Standard Mode, on the other hand, offers the general smartphone setting for users that are familiar with Google’s Android operating system. This mode offers up to seven customizable home screens and a customizable lock screen.

The Marauder also features both a virtual and slide-out physical QWERTY keyboard, affording users a flexible messaging experience. It also has 4G LTE.

The Pantec Marauder is available online at Verizon for $50, after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement. Also note that new customers who purchase this smartphone will need to subscribe to a Verizon Share Everything plan.
