The Motorola V710 is now available from Verizon Wireless.

This is the first phone with Bluetooth short-range wireless networking to be available from this wireless service provider. Owners of Bluetooth-enabled handhelds will be able to easily use the V710 as a wireless modem.

This device offers more than just Bluetooth. It also includes a 1.2 megapixel camera that can handle both stilll images and video. In addition, the V710 has a built-in MP3 player.

To give it room enough for multimedia files, this phone has a slot for a TransFlash card, a New Memory Card Format developed by SanDisk.

The Motorola V710 can be ordered from the Verizon Wireless web site for $320. This company is offering a $70 rebate with a two-year service agreement.

More information on the V710 is available from the Motorola web site.
