The leaks continue for HTC’s first tabletphone, the Droid DNA. Last month, a collection of specs for the this device (previously called HTC DLX) were revealed. Now, consumers have an image to match with those specs.
The picture was published by @evleaks, and it shows a full frontal view of the device, including the home screen. This might be an actual press image.
Rumored Hardware Details
The HTC Droid DNA will reportedly offer a 5-inch display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution. A 1.5GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM will run Android 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean) along with HTC Sense 4+. HTC’s new tabletphone will also offer 16GB of storage with microSD compatibility, a 2,500 mAh battery, and 12-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front-facing cameras.
Basically at this point the new HTC device is mirroring the HTC J Butterfly, which was introduced in Japan last month. The only major difference being, that the HTC Droid DNA will run on Verizon’s 4G LTE network.
Neither HTC and Verizon have commented about the recent leak, and a release date is still unknown. However, speculation suggests that a launch date may be revealed soon, as both HTC and Verzion have been gathering press for an event in New York City on Nov. 13. The two companies plan to show off their latest collaboration, which very well may be the HTC Droid DNA.
