Some of the details of the smartphones coming to Verizon in the coming months has leaked out. This shows that Big Red will be offering two of the most-anticipated models of the year, as well as many others.
Although wireless carriers try to keep the general public from knowing what devices they are prepping, it’s not unusual for them to brief their large corporate clients on what’s in the pipeline. Not infrequently, someone at one of these briefings will then leak the information.
This may be the source for a new report that Verizon plans to introduce the Samsung Galaxy S III, even though this carrier passed on the S II. This will apparently happen at some point in the summer.
According to this source, the next-generation Apple iPhone is scheduled for a fall release. There is growing evidence that this will indeed be the launch time for this handset, although previously there were contradictory reports saying it would debut in the summer.
Verizon is also allegedly going to introduce an Android smartphone from HTC with a 5-inch 1080p display, quad-core processor, and a stylus. Those who are interested will have to wait until this fall, however.
