Cerience Corporation has just launched RepliGo, which converts Microsoft Office documents, Adobe PDF files, web pages, and hundreds of other document types into replicas of their original documents for viewing and printing on Palm OS and Pocket PC handhelds.

Pocket PC Version The files are converted on a PC, so RepliGo can’t be used to convert email attachments that have been received by the handheld.

RepliGo preserves the integrity of the original document and incorporates features like advanced zooming and text wrapping. All content such as fonts, charts, graphics, images, and tables can be viewed with a streamlined document navigation interface.

Some of the formats supported by this app include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, MS Project, Visio, MS MapPoint, MS Money, WordPerfect, Lotus 1-2-3, JPG Image, Illustrator, Corel Draw, and CAD drawings.

It uses a cross-platform document format that allows the same file to be transferred and viewed on Palm OS and Pocket PC devices. Converted documents are typically less than half of the original size, on average.

RepliGo offers expansion memory card support for both handheld platforms.

It will typically sell for $50 but Cerience currently has an introductory offer of $40.
