After first demonstrating it in early summer, ViewSonic has released an SDIO card that allows some of its Pocket PCs to connect to Wi-Fi wireless networks.

The design for this card has been licensed from SyChip, whose WLAN6060SD WLAN card design is also the basis for SanDisk’s Wi-Fi SD card.

According to ViewSonic, its new wireless networking card works only with the V36 and V37. Unfortunately, the older V35 isn’t supported.

This Secure Digital 802.11b Wi-Fi Card is available now on the ViewSonic web site for $129. The company will ship only to the U.S. and Canada.
