Strange Adventures in Infinite Space Launches for Palm OS, Pocket PC

Astraware has released Strange Adventures in Infinite Space for Palm OS and Pocket PC handhelds. Originally developed for Windows PCs by Digital Eel, the game places the player in the role of intergalactic explorer and adventurer.

Features include 21 different ship types, 60 different weapons, 18 alien lifeforms, and 17 different planets and star types. The port prodded Astraware to optimize their graphics compression system and to create a new stereo version of their Aurora Audio Engine.

Strange Adventures “Strange Adventures really captures the essence of the perfect mobile game – since you can play an entire game in just a quarter of an hour, and everything is easy to control with simple screen taps. Of course, limiting yourself to just one game may be a challenge…” said Howard Tomlinson, CEO of Astraware.

There’s a version for Palm OS 5, as well as Pocket PC 2002 and 2003.

Strange Adventures in Infinite Space is available now for Palm OS and Pocket PC based devices for $19.95. For more information, a free trial download, or online purchase, visit the Astraware web site.

Free Game, Gringos, Available for a Limited Time

Clickgamer is offering Gringos for free, for a limited time, for Pocket PC devices. This western-themed shooter features enemies like Gucho Gambino and his gang. Civilians should not be shot by mistake, or the player loses a life.

Gringos has a full musical background score, and an online high score table is also available.
