When Windows Mobile 2003 debuted this summer, an upgrade wasn’t available for every handheld running Pocket PC 2002. However, an upgrade for the T-Mobile Pocket PC Phone Edition will be available soon. In addition, HP has begun taking orders for an upgrade for the iPAQ h3870, which includes Bluetooth.
T-Mobile has announced that it will soon begin offering a free upgrade to the latest version of this operating system to all users of its wireless handheld running the Pocket PC Phone Edition. It is not yet known when this will be released.
HP began taking orders for Windows Mobile 2003 upgrades for other h3800 series models back in August, but the h3870 requires a special version, as it is the only one in this series to include Bluetooth. This upgrade is now available for $29.95 on HP’s web site.
