XCOM: Enemy Unknown Hitting iOS on June 20
Popular strategy game and previous NBR GOTY candidate XCOM: Enemy Unknown is set to make its mobile debut this week. On Monday, developer Fraxis announced that its turn-based strategy title will be heading to iOS devices this Thursday June 20.
Excluding multiplayer (which will be added via a free update post-launch), the iOS variant will be almost identical to its console counterparts. That means users can expect the same interlinking systems revolving around strategic turn-based gameplay and resource management. The combination can be quite demanding, but it should prove to be just as addicting on iOS as it was on consoles.
XCOM: Enemy Unknown will be available in the Apple App Store for $20 on June 20 and will be available on the iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad mini, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5 and iPod touch 5th Generation.
