BlackBerry Bold 9930

  |   by Brighthand Staff

The Bold 9930 sports the thinnest design and widest QWERTY on a BlackBerry smartphone to date. It is the latest in a long-running series of high-end models for business users and consumers. It is the first in this line with a 2.8-inch touchscreen and Near Field Communication (NFC) support.

  • Pros

    • Excellent, slimmed-down build
    • Great keyboard
    • Good email and communications
  • Cons

    • Browser is improved but still painfully slow
    • App selection is terrible
    • Maps and user interface, are still clunky

Quick Take

The BlackBerry Bold 9930 is an excellent BlackBerry handset, but the new OS 7 fails to deliver enough changes to help it compete against Android and iOS.
