HTC is best known for making smartphones, but the Shift will be its first UMPC. This mini-laptop will have a tablet design with a QWERTY keyboard hidden behind its 7-inch touchscreen. When the screen is slid aside to expose the keyboard, it will flip up at an angle. It will include 3G cellular-wireless networking (either UMTS/HSDPA or EV-DO), Wi-Fi b/g and Bluetooth 2.0, fingertip scanner, and a laundry list of other features. The version of this UMPC for GSM telecoms is the HTCX9500, while the CDMA version is HTCX9000.
