In general I really like the HTC Snap, and if I were on the market for a new mobile phone it would be at the top of a fairly short list. It’s simple, fast, and responsive, with easy to use controls and excellent battery life.
It has the basic features I need, without being too overpowered or overpriced: it’s currently available to new customers for $149.99 after rebate.
While I would have liked to see Wi-Fi and a better camera, it should be noted that HTC is positioning this device as a capable consumer device, and isn’t aiming at the technical elite. On that level, it’s easy to declare the Snap a winner.
- Very small and lightweight
- Good call quality
- Loud, easy to hear sound
- No Wi-Fi
- Better camera would be nice; no self portrait lens either
