Covertec has new PDA cases for the Tungsten T and iPAQ h5450

Covertec just announced new cases for the Tungsten T and iPAQ 5450. Covertec’s quality is very good, we actually have one of their NX70V models in hand now and are very impressed. The TT comes in black or red and sells for $44.59. The iPAQ model is not yet on the site, but should sell for a similar price.

Infosync is reporting that Texas Instruments and Babel technology are partnering to bring this technology to devices like PDAs and cell phones. Both companies declined to comment at the time of this posting.

Chapura has updated KeyContacts which aims to replace the standard Palm contact manager

If you use Outlook and get frustrated like I do with the limitations of the standard Palm contact book, you may want to check out this alternative from Chapura. This update includes a number of goodies like: support for Bluetooth, support for the TT d-pad and a number of other customizable options. It’s definitely worth taking them up on the free trial.

The EMTAC Bluetooth GPS receiver reviewed

I had an opportunity to play with one of these at the CES, but you cannot get GPS signals inside, so other than testing the weight and the connection to my TT, I could do little else. The guys at Infosync have one in hand and have posted their thoughts…which are mixed. The size, weight and connection are great, but the cost and absence of features like talking directions and misses.
