Review Summary:
If you can afford it and want the latest and greatest, you won't be disappointed with what the iPhone 4S has to offer.
Pros
Cons
The fifth-generation smartphone from Apple includes a 1GHz dual-core processor, up from the 1GHz single-core CPU in its predecessor. Also on the improvements list is an 8MP camera, while its predecessor has a 5 MP one. Otherwise the new and old models are almost identical, including a 3.5-inch, 960 x 640 touchscreen.
The iPhone 4S launched running iOS 5, a new version of Apple's mobile operating system. This includes a new voice-control system called Siri, available only on the latest model, as well as the iCloud online backup service.
It is available from AT&T, Verizon, and -- for the first time ever -- Sprint. Price depends on the storage capacity.
