Microsoft has quietly posted an updated version of its synchronization software for Pocket PCs. ActiveSync 3.7.1 promises increased stability.
One of the problems that has bedeviled ActiveSync users is their handhelds, which had previously been Partnered, will go into Guest mode. This latest version supposedly fixes this. It also has an enhanced USB driver to improve connection stability and avoid crashes.
According to Microsoft, ActiveSync 3.7.1 improves the reliability of large file transfers and has an improved Desktop Connection Wizard UI to make setup easier.
ActiveSync 3.7.1 is available now on the Windows Mobile web site.
