Intel will be teaming up with leading hotspot location owners to make today a day of free Wi-Fi access. Hotspots with free access are located in bookstores, cafes, hotels, airports, and restaurants across the country. There will also be One Unwired Day Festivals in New York, San Francisco, Chicago and special events in Seattle.

Handmark has released the Oxford American Dictionary and Thesaurus for Palm OS and Pocket PC handhelds. The dictionary features more than 100,000 entries and definitions, as well as a "word of the day" option to help users improve their vocabulary skills. The thesaurus includes 175,000 synonyms with full cross-referencing to the dictionary. Full expansion card support is also included, as well as a recently viewed word list, three color schemes, and a six page pronunciation guide. A Windows Smartphone version is expected to be released shortly.
Other Oxford reference titles will available from Handmark in the coming months, though the specific book titles have not yet been announced.
