Motorola Photon Q 4G LTEA couple weeks after Motorola officially revealed its upcoming Photon Q 4G LTE smartphone, an inside source is now claiming that it's scheduled to launch on Sprint's network on Sunday, August 19.

Sprint has yet to confirm the release date of the Photon Q, a QWERTY slider phone, so technically August 19 should not be viewed as an official release date. But on the day that the Photon Q was formally announced, the carrier's CEO stated that it would be available "very soon." Additionally, Sprint employees have been training for the handset, suggesting that its release is eminent.

The Photon Q sports a 4.3-inch ColorBoost display, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, a front-facing "HD" camera for video chatting, NFC support, and is powered by a 1.5 GHz, dual-core processor. Unfortunately, it will not be released with the latest version of Android, version 4.1 (aka Jelly Bean), but will instead be launched running version 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich).
