HP has released another firmware update for its iPAQ hx4700 series.
This is mostly a minor "bug fix" to this Pocket PC's system software.
According to HP's description, this only takes care of five small problems, some of which are related to this handheld's audio and others to its software for connecting to encrypted WiFi networks.
It isn't totally focused on fixing bugs, though. It also adds support for auto execution after a hard reset.
HP iPAQ hx4700 Pocket PC Series Firmware Update for ROM Version 1.10 can be found on the HP web site.
A discussion of this update is going on now in the Brighthand Forums.
It is important to read and follow the instructions exactly when installing this, or any, ROM update.
Naturally, ROM 1.10 must be installed on the handheld before installing this update to it. More information on the hx4700 series ROM update, can be found in this article.
